Stage 1 Dovadola - Monte Busca
STAGE 1
DOVADOLA – MONTE BUSCA (Km 24,5)
Here... now begins a great longed-for adventure and so much emotion that rises to the stars, since now we must actually put ourselves to the test, not with words but with heavy action??..... on one hand there is the fear of not being up to it, but on the other a strong desire to put into play our infinite potential, which for too long has been left dormant. Better to immediately maintain a pace adequate to your physical strength, without ever forcing the pace, what is lost at the moment??.. is found doubly returned, at the end of each stage. You leave the refuge, cross the state road on the left and after 500 m. you reach the beginning of the ancient uphill road that leads to the hermitage after 5.0 Km, you first reach the crossroads where on the right you go up to the hermitage, while on the left is the path to take returning from the sanctuary. After visiting the place where Anthony of Lisbon met his “desert”, since that time he lived in a total renunciation of himself and the world. During this period of “exclusion” he developed a refined eloquence spontaneously, combined with a deep knowledge of the Holy Scriptures.... that the bishop of Forlì called him back and in a short time promoted him to Franciscan Provincial of Romagna. Thus began his itinerant mission as a preacher along the roads of northern Italy and in the land of France. At that time he was known as Anthony of Forlì, then dying in Padua he took this name.
.. continue for 3.5 km on a dirt road to reach the asphalt road on the right in the direction of Monte Trebbio, characterized by a monument dedicated to cyclists.
Continuing after a few km the route moves to the left on a dirt path, be careful not to lose it!!! ... after a couple of Km you cross the asphalt road and enter the welcoming bucolic environment of the “Montebello” farm before reaching Marzanella (agritourism), you continue for a few more Km before reaching our refuge "Casa Lamponi" on the crest of Monte Busca. At Casa Lamponi a center dedicated to oriental meditation is being set up, managed by Robert & Anna
Walking time from Rocca -Premilcuore to Corniolo: 6.30 hrs /7,30
It is recommended to stock up on everything you need for the trip when leaving, as you usually leave the city in the morning and walk surrounded by nature all day.
This is the rule to follow on all stages of the Apennines, ask at the refuges to get useful information for the next day.
