Stage 7° Caprese - Sansepolcro
STAGE, CAPRESE – SANSEPOLCRO
This year in September marks the 800th anniversary of the stigmata and of the last return journey from the hermitage of La Verna... Francesco already knew that he would never return to that sacred mountain, where he spent every summer. Three episodes marked that return journey…. The first on the ridge of the Casellahermitage, the last point where it is still possible to see Mount La Verna, ,…. he burst into tears??.... he looked for a long time towards La Verna and with deep emotion said: "Goodbye, mountain of God, holy mountain, mons coagulatus, mons pinguis, mons in quo beneplacitum est Deo habitare! Goodbye Monte Alvernia; God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit bless you! Remain in peace, we will never see each other again."
Having resumed his journey, he then stopped at the castle of Montauto to greet Count Alberto, a friend of his, where he dressed him in a new habit, while for 400 years the old habit remained in the castle and now we find it at the Verna hermitage.
Finally he wanted to pass through Anghiari again, an ancient medieval village where he was always well received by those people, and as thanks he wanted to raise a rustic cross on the top of the last ridge at the gates of the village, where the Church of the Cross was built, in memory of that holy gesture!!!
The stage has been remodeled to pass through Anghiari again.
We continue the journey crossing the entire town of Caprese Michelangelo on an asphalt road for 5 km following the signs and in Manzi at the crossroads we turn right to follow the CAI path n. 104 which takes us to Anghiari. The path begins to climb, passing through Papiano and continuing on the ridge of the Rognosi mountains, Poggio del Carmine (11.00 km), Micciano, Cicogna, Villa Sterpeto, San Pietro, all small hamlets before arriving at the Church of Santa Croce (16.00 km ). After a necessary stop in the ancient village, we continue the journey following the signs which in 6 km reach the gates of Sansepolcro and another 3 km to the Santa Maria dei servi refuge in via Dotti.
Walking time: 6,30 hrs – 7,30 hrs.
ETAPA 6: CAPRESE MICHELANGELO – SANSEPOLCRO (25 km)
V septembri 2024 uplynie 800 rokov od stigiem a od poslednej spiatočnej cesty z pustovne
La Verna. Svätý František už vedel, že sa už nikdy nevráti na tú posvätnú horu, kde trávil každé leto. Tri incidenty poznačili jeho spiatočnú cestu:
1. Prvý na hrebeni pustovne Casella – posledný bod, kde je ešte možné vidieť La Vernu... Rozplakal sa??? Dlhý čas pozeral smerom k La Verne a s hlbokými emóciami vyriekol: "Zbohom, hora Božia, hora svätá, mons coagulatus, mons pinguis, mons in quo beneplacitum est Deo habitare! Dovidenia! Monte Alvernia; Boh Otec, Boh Syn, Boh Duch Svätý ťa žehnaj! Zostaň v pokoji, už sa nikdy neuvidíme.“
2. Keď pokračoval v ceste, zastavil sa na hrade Montauto, aby pozdravil svojho priateľa grófa Alberta, kde ho obliekol do nového habitu, zatiaľ čo starý habit zostal na hrade 400 rokov a teraz ho nájdeme v pustovni La Verna.
3. Nakoniec chcel opäť prejsť cez Anghiari, starobylú stredovekú dedinu, kde ho títo ľudia vždy dobre prijali, a ako vďaku chcel postaviť rustikálny kríž na vrchole posledného hrebeňa pri bránach dediny, kde bol postavený Kostol sv. Kríža na pamiatku tohto svätého gesta!!! Táto etapa bola prerobená tak, aby opäť prechádzala cez Anghiari.
Pokračujeme v ceste cez celé mesto Caprese Michelangelo po asfaltovej ceste 5 km podľa značiek a v Manzi na križovatke odbočíme doprava na cestu CAI č. 104, ktorá nás zavedie
do Anghiari. Cesta začína stúpať, prechádza cez Papiano a pokračuje hrebeňom pohoria Rognosi, Poggio del Carmine (11 km), Micciano, Cicogna, Villa Sterpeto, San Pietro, všetky malé dedinky pred príchodom do kostola Santa Croce (16.00 hod. km). Po nevyhnutnej zastávke v starobylej dedinke pokračujeme v ceste podľa značiek, ktoré po 6 km dosiahnu brány Sansepolcra a ďalšie 3 km k útočisku Santa Maria dei servi vo via Dotti.
Čas chôdze: 6 hodín – 7,5 hodiny.
